Simply Holistic Endometriosis
EDM number 445 in 2001-02, proposed by HELEN CLARK on 20/11/2001.
That this House calls attention to the fact that the under-recognised medical condition endometriosis affects one in 10 women in their reproductive years, a total of about two million in the UK; recognises that this painful and debilitating condition seriously affects the lives of these women and their families and may be a major cause of infertility; congratulates the Simply Holistic Endometriosis Trust, on the occasion of its launch in the House of Commons, for its pioneering work in raising awareness of, and promoting research into, the condition, and offering support and information to those affected by it, noting in particular the key role played by Peterborough resident and endometriosis sufferer, Kim Longlands, in enabling this work to take place; and welcomes the contribution of the Daily Mail and Woman magazine to publicising the issue.
This motion has been signed by a total of 36 MPs.
