South East Healthcare Funding
EDM number 437 in 2001-02, proposed by Mark Oaten on 19/11/2001.
That this House is concerned that health services in the South East Region are amongst the lowest funded in the country and that, despite the excellent work of medical and management staff, patients are suffering as a result; and urges Her Majesty's Government to reconsider the funds allocated to the South East by the York Formula to reflect the changing economic and demographic characteristics of the area before these problems worsen.
