Putney Post Office

That this House, noting that Putney Crown Post Office was recently sold to a private company in advance of so-called public consultation, condemns privatisation of the Post Office by stealth; demands that public consultation should be carried out before the event in any future sales of Crown post offices; deplores the arrogance of Post Office Network in refusing to make public financial details of the disposal of public assets; and calls on the Comptroller and Auditor General to conduct an investigation into the sale of Putney and other Crown post offices to determine whether value for money was obtained.
