Sheep Farming

That this House is alarmed that the Government came close to destroying sheep farming with an announcement based on erroneous research; believes that action by National Assembly for Wales officials helped expose the false premise of the research; and asserts that this incident, together with the failures and delays over the handling of foot and mouth disease in Wales, indicates that animal health issues should be devolved from DEFRA to the National Assembly.
