That this House is concerned that since the World Food Programme launched its appeal for US $257 million to help feed six million people inside Afghanistan, including 1.5 million potential refugees, the Agency has received only 32.6 per cent of its needs; Afghanistan emergency fund; believes that prosperous countries must do all they can to help the displaced and starving in Afghanistan; and urges the UK Government to do everything possible to ensure that adequate supplies are reaching the aid agencies in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
