Postgraduates In Higher Education Teaching

That this House is deeply concerned at the dwindling numbers of postgraduates going into higher education teaching; recommends the recognition and implementation of the National Union of Students, National Postgraduate Council and Association of University Teachers' Employment Charter for Postgraduates Who Teach; calls on the Government to offer protection and recognition to postgraduates who teach; and recommends that the current system of Research Council funding for postgraduates be reviewed to maximise opportunities for postgraduate study.
