Health Services In Tayside

That this House recognises the widespread concern across Tayside over the future of Perth Royal Infirmary and Stracathro Hospital; is concerned that the impact of the Barnett Formula on Scottish public spending will mean up to ú400 million less for the Scottish Health Service over the next three years; believes that such a shortfall will only lead to more closures and poorer services for patients in Tayside and across Scotland; and calls on the Government to reform the system of funding for the United Kingdom to ensure that the Scottish Executive has greater control over revenues from Scotland so that it can begin to invest the wealth of Scotland in Scotland's NHS and other public services.
