That this House congratulates the organisers of the Cheltenham Festival of Literature 2002 for the breadth and quality of the programme which appeals to readers of all ages; expresses its appreciation to the 360 participating authors for their significant contribution to the literacy and intellectual life of our country; records its gratitude to the many sponsors who so generously underpin the finances of the event; and recognises Cheltenham's continued status as host to an annual calendar of festivals which are second to none.
