Conservative Party Reshuffle
EDM number 1717 in 2001-02, proposed by Peter Bradley on 24/07/2002.
That this House notes that the Leader of the Opposition has sacked Conservative Party Chair and head of political campaigning the honourable Member for Haltemprice and Howden who has seen his majority decline by a mere 5,611 since 1997, and replaced him with the honourable Member for Maidenhead whose majority has plummeted by 8,697 in the same period; further notes his comment after his reshuffle that we all went forward together; and urges him and his Right honourable and honourable colleagues to proceed with the greatest of care.
This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
