Rt Rev Rowan Williams, Archbishop Of Wales

That this House congratulates the Right Reverend Rowan Williams on his appointment as Archbishop of Canterbury; recognises that in his role as Bishop of Monmouth and Archbishop of Wales he has given outstanding spiritual leadership within the Anglican Church to many people of other faiths and those of no religious faith; applauds his support for the Jubilee 2000 and Drop the Debt campaigns and for many social, economic and international causes; and wishes him and his family every success for the future.
