Staffordshire Bull Terriers

EDM number 1685 in 2001-02, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 22/07/2002.

That this House congratulates The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club on its successful Championship Show held at the Staffordshire County Showground on 21st July; acknowledges the Staffordshire Bull Terrier to be a truly remarkable breed of dog that has been registered with the Kennel Club for no less than 67 years; notes that the Staffie has become a great family favourite, with a totally reliable temperament and a love of children, as well as being highly intelligent, fearless and loyal; and recognises that despite its humble beginnings, the modern day Staffordshire Bull Terrier has evolved into the most popular of terrier breeds within the United Kingdom and throughout the world and is a fine example of a magnificent British family dog.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
