St John Ambulance Youth Anniversaries

That this House welcomes and supports St. John Ambulance's plans this summer to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its cadets and the 15th anniversary of its badgers; notes that nearly 9,000 six to 10 year olds currently volunteer as badgers and 14,000, 10 to 18 year olds as cadets; acknowledges that over half of all St. John Ambulance volunteers are under the age of 25 years; further notes that St. John Ambulance plays a vital role in allowing young people to learn not only the vital skills that may one day help them to save a life but also valuable social skills which allow them to become valuable members of their community; and wishes St. John Ambulance badgers and cadets further success in the years ahead.
