British Grand Prix
EDM number 1585 in 2001-02, proposed by Richard Burden on 08/07/2002.
That this House notes the success of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, including big improvements in traffic management both to and from the circuit over the course of the weekend; congratulates the organisers, police, government and other agencies involved in the planning and management of the event; recognises there is more work to be done to the circuit and surrounding area to further enhance this event as an annual showcase for Formula One, its fans and the world-class motorsport engineering industry in the United Kingdom; and looks forward to the public having the opportunity to enjoy great racing at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone for many years to come.
