Battle Of St Aubin Du Cormier
EDM number 1582 in 2001-02, proposed by Simon Thomas on 08/07/2002.
That this House expresses its concern at proposals to allow a rubbish dump on the site of the 1488 battle of St. Aubin du Cormier; notes that this battle was the last in a series to retain Breton independence and that English archers served on the Breton side; and asks that the French government respects this historic site and the soldiers who fell there in the spirit of European unity that now brings together Brittany, France, England, Wales and Scotland in common cause.
This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
