Regional Funding
EDM number 1529 in 2001-02, proposed by Alex Salmond on 02/07/2002.
That this House notes that the Treasury Committee is taking evidence on the issue of regional funding; further notes that the Government has given mixed signals on the issue of the Barnett Formula and the timing and manner in which this system of allocating funds to countries and regions within the UK may be revised; asserts that the importance of this issue deserves the attention of the whole House and the scrutiny of the public; and calls on the Government to make a statement with regard to its intentions on changing the method of allocating regional funding before the rising of the House for summer recess.
This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs.
