Western Sahara Referendum

EDM number 1517 in 2001-02, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 26/06/2002.

That the House supports the right of the people of the Western Sahara to their own self determination; and accordingly urges the UN Security Council to uphold this right and ensure that the Saharwi people have the opportunity to decide their own future in an early referendum organised by the United Nations which will include the option of independence for this former Spanish colony.
