Congratulations To England

EDM number 1500 in 2001-02, proposed by Tim Yeo on 24/06/2002.

That this House congratulates the England Football Team on their considerable achievements during the World Cup; further congratulates English football fans for their exemplary behaviour, which has been a credit to this country; pays tribute to all the people of England of every race, creed and class who united together with warmth and good humour in a common cause; and further congratulates all those who purchased 30 million Cross of St George flags, thus ensuring that the flag was reclaimed from thugs and extremists and can now be flown by decent and tolerant English people everywhere.

This motion has been signed by a total of 89 MPs.
