Gurnos
EDM number 1386 in 2001-02, proposed by Dai Havard on 23/05/2002.
That this House congratulates the people of the Gurnos in Merthyr Tydfil on their tremendous work in fighting to improve the quality of life for their community and projecting a more positive image of the locality; applauds the Welsh Assembly government in launching its innovative Communities First programme; welcomes the Valleys First programme launched by honourable Members of this House and the Welsh Assembly; deplores all malicious and denigrating comments made against the Gurnos recently; and calls on those responsible for such disgraceful comments to apologise unreservedly.
