Redundancy Pay £250 Cap

EDM number 1368 in 2001-02, proposed by David Crausby on 22/05/2002.

That this House supports the Amicus AEEU campaign to lift the £250 statutory cap on redundancy payment calculations; recognises that it is far too easy for multi-national companies to make British workers redundant rather than their counterparts in Europe; and urges the Government to lift the cap in order to properly compensate British employees and deter companies from making redundancies in the United Kingdom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 73 MPs.
