That this House welcomes the publication of the Department for Trade and Industry's Manufacturing Strategy and a new Ãº45 million programme for the United Kingdom car industry; notes that the West Midlands is the home of the United Kingdom motor industry, including MG Rover, Land Rover, Jaguar, Peugeot, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders' Industrial Forum and the International Manufacturing Centre at the University of Warwick; and believes that the planned Automotive Academy should be sited in the West Midlands, providing a boost to the region's manufacturing-dependent economy.
