LABOUR'S LONDON MAYORAL SELECTION PROCESS

EDM number 1329 in 2001-02, proposed by John McDonnell on 16/05/2002.

That this House urges the National Executive Committee of the labour Party to allow Ken Livingstone back into the Labour Party in order that he may be considered for selection as Labour's candidate for the London mayoral election in 2004; and further to establish a fair selection procedure for the candidate selection so that London could retain the benefits of a progressive London mayor following a Labour victory in 2004.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
