Proposed Development Near Trethomas, South Wales

EDM number 1267 in 2001-02, proposed by Wayne David on 09/05/2002.

That this House expresses its concern about the lack of consultation there has been with the residents of Trethomas, near Caerphilly, by Caerphilly county Borough Council about the proposals to develop land on and near the former colliery site at Bedwas; and strongly urges the local authority to carry out a programme of consultation so that an acceptable plan can be agreed which respects the local countryside and addresses the actual needs of the community.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
