Ira

EDM number 1193 in 2001-02, proposed by Iris Robinson on 24/04/2002.

That this House notes with great concern the recent admission by the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the belated confirmation by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, that information seized by the police shows that the Provisional IRA have continued, since the signing of the Belfast Agreement, to target senior members of the Conservative Party and other public representatives; further notes the continued acts of violence and murders in Northern Ireland carried out by the IRA, their involvement in the training of the FARC Colombian terrorists in bombing techniques, the IRA involvement in the break-in at Special Branch offices in Castlereagh and the IRA's gunrunning from Florida; and calls upon the Government to protect democracy and the citizens of Northern Ireland by immediately removing Sinn Fein/IRA from the Government of Northern Ireland.

This motion has been signed by a total of 3 MPs.
