Falklands War Veterans

EDM number 1134 in 2001-02, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 16/04/2002.

That this House notes with concern the number of Falklands War veterans who have committed suicide since the end of the conflict in 1982; recognises that the number of suicides amongst veterans is now double the number of those killed during the conflict; and calls on the Government to mark the 20th anniversary of the Falklands War by supporting and assisting Falklands veterans and the organisations working on their behalf to ensure that they receive all the advice, support and help they need in order to reduce the incidence of suicides.

This motion has been signed by a total of 58 MPs.
