Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club

EDM number 1125 in 2001-02, proposed by Tony Banks on 15/04/2002.

That this House congratulates Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club on its promotion to Division One of the Nationwide Football League; notes that the club has won both the Division Three and Division Two championships in successive seasons, a feat only previously achieved by six other clubs and that this success comes just five years after the club nearly went out of the Football League; believes that it is a testament to the determination and hard work of the players, directors, supporters and management that the club has achieved this considerable success; and wishes the club well in Division One next season.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
