Conduct Of The Prime Minister

EDM number 1112 in 2001-02, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 11/04/2002.

That this House notes the unsatisfactory way the Prime Minister responded to the question on standards in government (10th April, Official Report, column 19); regrets the defensive, partisan and inadequate reply by the Prime Minister; and asks him to confirm that he himself is interested in monitoring and upholding the Ministerial Code of conduct, whether or not a complaint is made.
