Epilepsy Wales

That this House recognises the valuable work done by the charity Epilepsy Wales in providing information and advice to people with epilepsy throughout Wales, their families and carers via a help-line, by post, e-mail and their web-site, home visits, attendance at clinics support groups and public meetings; recognises that the work undertaken by this charity enables people with epilepsy to live as normal, active and productive lives in the community as possible and removes pressure from other organisations such as the NHS and Social Service departments; and urges funding bodies in Wales to recognise the valuable service offered by this charity and provide the continued funding necessary to enable it to carry on and expand the good work that they have done for the past 15 years.
