Proposed Contingent Liability In Respect Of The Public Private Partnership For The London Underground

EDM number 1064 in 2001-02, proposed by Gwyneth Dunwoody on 25/03/2002.

That this House notes the Minute from the Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions, dated 20th March, concerning a proposed contingent liability in respect of the issue of letters in support of the Public Private Partnership contracts for the London Underground; further notes that convention, practice and precedent allow Members 14 working days to object to such a Minute; and considers it imperative that the Government allows honourable Members of Parliament to have the proper opportunity to register their objections to the Government providing a de facto guarantee to the Public Private Partnership's infrastructure companies.

This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
