Landfill Tax Credit Scheme

EDM number 1000 in 2001-02, proposed by Jim Dobbin on 13/03/2002.

That this House congratulates all those in the waste management and environmental sectors for making such a success of the landfill tax credit scheme and in so doing transforming the environment of many local communities, stimulating excellent pilot schemes in recycling and re-use and promoting a wealth of new innovations and good practice; and urges the Government to reaffirm its ongoing commitment to the scheme.
