Pay In The Nhs
EDM number 68 in 2000-01, proposed by John Austin on 11/12/2000.
That this House notes that for the past two years NHS professional, technical and scientific staff outside the Pay Review Body have received pay increases less than those awarded to comparable staff within the Pay Review Body; and calls upon the Secretary of State to take steps to remedy that situation in the next pay round to avoid an adverse impact on the services these staff provide and clarify precisely which NHS professions and related grades will move to Pay Review Body status, in order to help stem declining morale and help retain these skills for the NHS.
