Anglia Railways - European Train Operator Of The Year

That this House congratulates Angila Railways on winning the prestigious European Train Operator of the Year 2000 Award, made by the Institute of Transport Management; notes that this follows earlier success in being named UK Train Operator of the Year; commends Anglia Railways for having previously been awarded three successive Charter Marks for excellence in customer service and three Cycle Marks for improvements to facilities for cyclists using the rail netowrk; pays tribute to all Anglia Railways staff for achieving such high standards which have resulted in national and international recognition; and calls on other railway companies to follow the excellent example of Anglia Railways in its approach to customer service, delivering higher standards of performance, providing new trains and introducing more services.
