National Missile Defense

EDM number 639 in 2000-01, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 03/05/2001.

That this House is opposed to the United States' proposed National Missile Defense System; believes it would breach the existing ABM and non-military space exploration treaties and lead to an escalation of nuclear dangers; therefore calls on the British Government not to provide any facilities for NMD; and calls upon the USA to abandon this dangerous and wasteful project.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
