Rail Fares (No. 2)

That this House deplores the proposal by Virgin Trains to increase fares by almost 10 per cent. on the West Coast Main Line; considers that fare increases on this scale will work directly against Government policy to increase the use of railways by the general public; and calls upon the Government to review whether it considers any part of the private sector fit to run a passenger railway for the 21st century.
