Redbridge Lions Emergency Information Packs

EDM number 512 in 2000-01, proposed by Linda Perham on 02/04/2001.

That this House congratulates the Redbridge Lions for their Millennium Community Project 'Have You Got Bottle' emergency information packs; notes that Redbridge is the first London borough in which this scheme has been launched following its successful introduction in Tayside; further notes that the bottle pack, costing just 25 pence, provides a vulnerable person living alone, such as older people, disabled people and those with learning difficulties, with the means to alert the emergency services to important medical information and next-of-kin details and that the pack consists of a see-through container with a distinctive green and white sticker and a basic form which can be completed by an individual, relative, carer or friend and placed in the fridge; and supports the introduction of this initiative nationwide to assist in saving lives and giving peace of mind to vulnerable people living alone.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
