Tie-Up Scheme For Scottish Fishermen
EDM number 449 in 2000-01, proposed by Margaret Ewing on 14/03/2001.
That this House notes with grave concern the failure of the Scottish Executive to implement the will of the democratically elected Scottish Parliament in its support for the compensation scheme for fishermen, who have voluntarily tied-up in order to protect juvenile haddock stocks; notes that strong warnings were given of the implications of displacement more than six months ago; and urges the Labour Party to support the democratic rights of the Scottish Parliament.
This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
