Duke Of Devonshire And Postponement Of Elections

EDM number 446 in 2000-01, proposed by Joseph Ashton on 14/03/2001.

That this House notes the demands by the Duke of Devonshire and countryside leaders that the possible date of 3rd May for the General Election be postponed, but points out that such a postponement would mean the Hunting with Hounds (Abolition) Bill would then be able to complete all its stages through Parliament.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
