National Rail Enquiry Service

EDM number 42 in 2000-01, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 06/12/2000.

That this House notes with concern the amount of misleading information given by the National Rail Enquiry Service to passengers both in relation to ticket prices and timetables; notes that a recent survey found ticket prices being quoted at almost half the actual price for main line route services across the country; and calls on the train operating companies to ensure that the National Rail Enquiry Service has accurate and up-to-date information on pricing and timetables at a time when confidence in the railway network needs to be significantly improved.

This motion has been signed by a total of 55 MPs.
