OLD MCDONALD'S FARM AT ALTON TOWERS

That this House condemns the action taken by Alton Towers to slaughter 18 pet animals on the Old McDonald's farm attraction which included three pigs, eight goats, six sheep and a cow; notes that the action was taken on the basis of the outbreak of foot and mouth despite the fact that the animals could have been quarantined or possibly moved under a special licence; and supports the RSPCA in their investigation while calling on Alton Towers to apologise for their actions which were a clear example of putting profit before animal welfare.
