Nationwide Conference Football Clubs And Promotion Places

EDM number 350 in 2000-01, proposed by Tony Wright on 14/02/2001.

That this House demands an end to the injustice of there being only one promotion place for Nationwide Conference football clubs into the Football League; believes that this stifles the development of these football clubs and deprives the Football League of successful teams; welcomes the support of the Sports Minister and the Football Association for moves to increase the number of promotion places; and calls upon the Football League to agree this change in time for the next season.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
