Marisa Sarda Anton And The Investigation Of Assets

EDM number 34 in 2000-01, proposed by Andy King on 06/12/2000.

That this House notes that divorce proceedings which took place without a complete investigation of business assets have resulted in Mrs Marisa Sarda Anton, a constituent of the honourable Member for Rugby and Kenilworth, being in imminent danger of homelessness while her ex-husband maintains the high standard of living formerly enjoyed by them both as partners in a UK-based company; notes that this inequity indicates that perjury and fraud may have taken place; and calls upon the Attorney General, as guardian of the public interest, to investigate the facts to ensure confidence in the judicial process and provide Mrs Anton with the fair outcome every constituent deserves.

This motion has been signed by a total of 60 MPs.
