Royal Mail Leave Entitlement
EDM number 174 in 2000-01, proposed by Norman Baker on 10/01/2001.
That this House calls on the Royal Mail to allow staff to enjoy Boxing Day with their families by not requiring them to work on 27th December each year; believes that the benefits of allowing staff to spend more time with their families over the Christmas period outweigh the drawbacks of no postal deliveries on 27th December; and thanks all Royal Mail employees for their hard work during the Christmas postal rush.
