Labour And Liberal Democrats And The Nhs
EDM number 163 in 2000-01, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 08/01/2001.
That this House welcomes the Labour decision not to pretend that the Conservatives will abolish the National Health Service; regrets the apparent rolling Liberal Democrat campaign that does make the claim; and notes that except for about 18 of the past 52 years Conservative governments have sustained and supported the National Health Service without practical help from the Liberal Party or its successor.
This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
