European Co-Operation
EDM number 154 in 2000-01, proposed by John D Taylor on 08/01/2001.
That this House, concerned at the overlap and duplication of responsibilities by the various European institutions, such as the OECD, the Council of Europe, the European Union and the Western European Union, and the confusion which this causes amongst the public and politicians, calls upon the Government to initiate a debate within Europe to enhance European co-operation by reducing and streamlining the number and competences of reformed European co-operative institutions.
This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs.
