Cambridge Two: Ruth Wyner And John Brock
EDM number 149 in 2000-01, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 21/12/2000.
That this House does not believe the way to help the homeless is to jail the social workers; did not intend the Misuse of Drugs Act amendment to make liable to prosecution, conviction and prison, conscientious managers of projects for the vulnerable, such as Ruth Wyner and John Brock who followed policy approved by the police; and believes the Home Office should be ashamed of not responding promptly and helpfully to the request by Dr George Reid as a trustee of the Cambridge Winter Comfort charity for approval or amendment of the drugs policy of the charity.
This motion has been signed by a total of 31 MPs.
