Investing In Pembrokeshire Lottery

That this House congratulates the founder and Chairman of the Investing in Pembrokeshire Society, Danny Fellows, and the directors and administrators of the scheme, on the contribution the Investing in Pembrokeshire Lottery has made to the West Wales economy since its inception in November 1993 in raising capital to invest in local business start-ups and expansion; recognises the fact that up to April 2000 ú760,000 had been paid out as loans, ú680,000 had been paid out as prizes and 150 local jobs had been created; urges communities throughout the UK to use the model provided by the Investing in Pembrokeshire Lottery, based on community control and community involvement as a blueprint to enable communities themselves to provide a climate for job creation and small business expansion.
