Coryton To Wymondham Pipeline

EDM number 935 in 1999-00, proposed by Tom Brake on 05/07/2000.

That this House notes with concern the decision of BP to close the oil pipeline from Coryton in Essex to Wymondham in Norfolk to household and diesel fuel; notes that this decision could result in up to 70 HGV vehicles a week using the A11 and A140; further notes that this decision comes just 18 months after BP made the decision to stop delivering petrol via the pipeline, causing up to 70 HGV lorries a week to travel through Norfolk; and urges BP to review this decision in the light of the environmental impact of up to 150 HGV lorries a week routed along the A11 and the A140.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
