Tackling Drugs To Build A Better Teesside

That this House congratulates the Evening Gazette in Teesside, and other newspapers across the country, for highlighting the problems that drug abuse can bring to communities and to families; notes that its Families Against Drugs campaign is being run jointly with the Teesside Drugs Education Team and is putting into action many of the Cabinet Office's Policy Action Team's recommendations concerning the importance of community action in tackling the problems facing deprived neighbourhoods; and welcomes the work being done by a local newspaper to bring the community together and work with drugs agencies, police and probation services, community and voluntary groups,and families to give information and support to people fighting against drug abuse.
