Mobile Telephone Masts (No. 2)

That this House calls on Her Majesty's Government to clarify the position on the acceptability of mobile phone masts erected before the publication of the Stewart Report in light of the Report's recommendation of the precautionary principle, especially with regard to masts located on or near schools, school buildings and facilities regularly frequented by children; notes the inevitable anomalies that will arise between the acceptability of masts erected before the report and those erected after the report; and takes the view that urgent discussions should now be called with telecommunication operators to determine whether public safety, especially for children, requires selective relocation of existing masts.
