Visually-Impaired Cricket Festival 2000

EDM number 877 in 1999-00, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 20/06/2000.

That this House congratulates all the teams which took part in the Visually-Impaired Cricket Festival 2000 at Euxton Cricket Club in the constituency of Chorley on 17th and 18th June; pays tribute to Gary O'Neil, the organiser, for bringing the teams together from all over the country to participate in this highly competitive tournament for blind and visually-impaired cricket teams, with Mr O'Neil playing in the winning team, White Rose, against a strong, competitive Welsh team; notes that the festival was made possible by the committed volunteers, members of Euxton Cricket Club, and the main sponsors BAe Systems, Cheshire Building Society and Multipart; and hopes that this national annual festival continues to go from strength to strength.

This motion has been signed by a total of 92 MPs.
