European Seed Purity Standards

EDM number 788 in 1999-00, proposed by Joan Ruddock on 25/05/2000.

That this House firmly rejects the proposal of the European Seeds Association that a threshold of 1 per cent. of GM seeds in conventional seed stocks be adopted by the EC as a legal basis for the sale of conventional seeds; and calls on Government ministers to oppose any such measures.
